Nov 24,2024

Following an inspection this morning, the track at Punchestown was found to be fit for racing and the fixture scheduled for today will go ahead as planned.

Brendan Sheridan, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Punchestown, said: "We had 19mm of rain overnight and the ground is yielding to soft, soft in places.

"We spoke to Met Éireann this morning and the forecast is that we will get another 15 to 20mm of rain up until lunchtime today and it is to be mainly dry in the afternoon.

"The winds at present are not too bad but it is to ease even further throughout the morning."

Elsewhere, the track at Boulta is fit for racing for the West Waterford (F) Point to Point fixture today. The ground is currently yielding.

High winds at present and the situation will be continually monitored.
