Madrid stunned as Milan storm the Bernabeu in style

Nov 06,2024

Malick Thiaw, Alvaro Morata and Tijjani Reijnders were all on target as AC Milan stunned holders Real Madrid in their Champions League clash at the Bernabeu.

Thiaw gave seven-times European champions Milan the lead with a header from a corner in the 12th minute but Vinicius Jr equalised with a penalty 11 minutes later.

Morata put the visitors back in front by netting from a rebound in the 39th and Reijnders fired home a Rafael Leao cross after a counter attack to wrap up Milan's statement win over the lacklustre hosts.

Real are languishing in 17th place in the 36-team Champions League table with six points, one spot ahead of Milan on goal difference after four games.

Thilo Kehrer stabbed home from close range in the 86th minute to lift Monaco into third as they earned a 1-0 win over Bologna.

Borussia Dortmund left it late to secure a 1-0 win over Sturm Graz courtesy of Donyell Malen's strike four minutes from time.

Dusan Vlahovic’s second-half penalty cancelled out Jonathan David’s opener as Juventus drew 1-1 with Lille.

In the early games, Dinamo Zagreb earned a second consecutive victory in the competition with an emphatic 4-1 win over Slovan Bratislava while PSV picked up their first European win this season with a 4-0 thrashing of Girona.
