Gaby Lewis hits half-century but Ireland suffer series whitewash as Bangladesh win third ODI

Bangladesh completed a 3-0 ODI series success as they beat Ireland by seven wickets in Mirpur.

Captain Gaby Lewis' 52 proved the backbone of Ireland’s 185 all out, with Orla Prendergast (27) and Amy Hunter (23) leading the support cast.

Prendergast then struck with the ball, removing Murshida Khatun for eight, but a second-wicket partnership of 143 between Fargana Hoque and Sharmin Akhter put Bangladesh on the brink of victory.

Akhter was dismissed for 72 and Hoque made 61, with Aimee Maguire taking both wickets, before Bangladesh reached their target with 12.3 overs to spare.
