Nov 19,2024

Ballyneety Golf Club in Limerick will host the first two days of action at the 2027 Junior Ryder Cup.

Male and female players will contest foursomes and fourballs at the course, with Adare Manor staging the singles matches the day before the main event begins at JP McManus-owned venue.

First held in 1997, the Junior Ryder Cup has featured a number of future stars, with Rory McIlroy, Nicolai Hojgaard and Nicolas Colsaerts all triumphing in the tournament before winning the senior competition.

Leona Maguire, Suzanne Peterson, Carlota Ciganda and Emily Kristine Pedersen also lined up at the mixed competition before lifting the Solheim Cup.

Edward Kitson, Junior Ryder Cup match director, said: "Ballyneety Golf Club will be a magnificent host for the Junior Ryder Cup in 2027.

"The venue offers one of the finest parkland golfing experiences in Ireland, and the next generation of golfing superstars will relish the opportunity to compete on the champion-standard layout.

"Playing the final day singles matches at Adare Manor will be a fantastic experience for the 24 players who get the opportunity to compete in front of Ryder Cup crowds on the Ryder Cup course.

"These matches will form part of an exciting Ryder Cup week, and fans will be able to see some of the most exciting future talent in action."
