Lurgan 2-08 Clann Éireann 2-17

Niamh Murray kicked seven points as Clann Éireann retained their Ulster senior club title with a nine-point victory over Lurgan at a wet Healy Park.

The Armagh champions opened their account with just 46 seconds on the clock and the hit seven consecutive scores before Lurgan pointed in the 13th minute.

The Orchard side continued to dominate the second quarter adding another five points. While Lurgan did respond, the 26th minute goal from Emma Tolan was a bit fortunate.

Clann Éireann had Aoibhinn Donohue sin-binned late in the first half, but still finished strong, adding a couple of points to go in at the break leading 0-12 to 1-2.

Player of the match Niamh Henderson pointed immediately after the resumption and followed that up with a superb goal.

For the next 10 minutes Lurgan had a purple patch and outscored the opposition four point to two, but any chance of a comeback was then halted as Aoibhinn Donohue netted for Clann Eireann's second goal.

In the closing 10 minutes Lurgan scored 1-2, but their opponents finished with the last two points to ensure a nine-point victory.
