St Loman's clash with Castletown called off due to fog

Nov 13,2024

The AIB Leinster senior club football quarter-final between St Loman's Mullingar and Wexford side Castletown on Tuesday night has been called off due to heavy fog.

The game was due to take place at Lakepoint Park in Mullingar, however after an evening pitch inspection, the decision was made to postpone it.

The CCC will meet on Wednesday to decide on a re-fixture date, though the window of availability is tight.

The winners will play Ardee St Mary's of Louth in the semi-final, which is scheduled for Saturday week.

Last week St Loman's powered past Meath champions Dunshaughlin to secure their place in the last eight with ease.

Castletown progressed after winning their second Wexford SFC crown within the space of three years against Gusserane at Chadwicks Wexford Park over a fortnight ago.
